Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2065146A1] The device has a controller for electrically activating a vibrating head (10) to vibrate the vibrating head in a frequency range below a kilohertz range. A cutting tool (50) i.e. saw, is arranged between retainers (30, 40). The retainer (30) is connected with the vibrating head using a leaf-spring pile (60) such that the mechanical vibration of the vibrating head is transferred onto the cutting tool. A vibrating head (70) is connected with the retainer (40). The vibrating heads are mechanically or electrically connected with each other. An independent claim is also included for a method for performing vibration cutting.
