Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2065322A2] The method involves connecting individual drives (19, 28) i.e. electric motor, to a sheet separator (12) for starting/restarting a sheet-fed printing press. Production speeds of the drives are synchronized to each other for driving a printing unit (7). Sheet retaining elements (13, 14) of the sheet separator are subjected with suction air before or during switching of the drives. The drives are synchronized at the start of conveyance of a printed sheet (8), where the synchronization is completed before the delivery of the printed sheet to a swinging system (5).
