Abstract (en)
In a yarn feeding device F having a yarn brake B provided at a housing arm 2, the yarn brake B comprising a generally conical braking body 5 for axial resilient co-operation with a withdrawal end 3a of a stationary storage body 3 of the yarn feeding device and mutually repelling permanent magnet arrangements P1, P2 respectively provided at the braking body and a stationary support 6, as well as an adjustment assembly E for gradually varying the braking effect between the braking body 5 and the withdrawal end 3a, the adjustment assembly including a screw device 18a, 21, the relative axial position of the permanent magnet arrangement P2 of the support is variable selectively either gradually by the screw device 18a, 21 or in one stroke extending over several thread pitches of the screw device 18a, 21 by a quick adjustment assembly Q of the support 6. In the yarn brake B the adjustment assembly E and the quick adjustment assembly Q share components of the support 6. The quick adjustment assembly Q is operable manually in one axial stroke direction and automatically returns by spring force 30.
