Abstract (en)

The invention relates to an expanded polystyrene block with reinforcing anchors for construction enclosures, of the type of block that is prefabricated from cells of expanded polystyrene (1) which are intended to be filled with concrete (2) once the block has been installed on site and which can be reinforced for this purpose with a series of transverse metal attachment and securing bars or rods (3). The invention is characterised in that a plurality of reinforcing anchors (4) are inserted uniformly over the surface of one or both lateral polystyrene walls. The end of the anchors that is oriented towards the outer face of the enclosure is shaped in the form of a hook (5), while the anchor is bent (6) close to the inner end thereof which is to be inserted into the concrete. Said anchor reinforcing system enables the resulting enclosures to be covered with medium-duty coatings of the ceramic or one-coat mortar type, or heavy-duty facing sucha as natural stone.
