Abstract (en)
The unit (120a) has a control device (122) coupled with a center (110) of an electro-acoustic security system (100). The control device is arranged in such a manner that a test signal e.g. noise or voice signal, for testing perceivability of acoustic signals is supplied based on a request signal from the center, where the acoustic signals are reflected from the unit. A memory unit (130) is connected with the control device, and stores the test signal. An evaluating device evaluates the test signal that corresponds to a standard European Norm (EN) 60268-16. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a hazard warning system comprising a peripheral unit and a center (2) a method for supplying test signals for testing of acoustic signals emitted from a peripheral unit.

Es wird eine Peripherieeinheit (120a, 120b) für ein elektroakustisches Gefahrenmeldesystem (100) beschrieben. Die Peripherieeinheit (120a, 120b) weist auf eine Steuereinrichtung (122), welche mit einer Zentrale (110) des Gefahrenmeldesystems (100) koppelbar ist, und welche derart eingerichtet ist, dass auf ein Anforderungssignal der Zentrale (110) hin zumindest ein Prüfsignal zur Prüfung der Verständlichkeit von akustischen Signalen, die von der Peripherieeinheit (120a, 120b) wiedergegeben werden können, bereitstellbar ist. Es wird ferner ein Gefahrenmeldesystem (100) mit zumindest einer Peripherieeinheit (120a, 120b) des genannten Typs und ein Verfahren zum Bereitstellen von Prüfsignalen zum Überprüfen der von einer Peripherieeinheit (120a, 120b) des oben genannten Typs ausgegebenen akustischen Signale auf deren Verständlichkeit beschrieben.
