Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2066149A2] The lamp (1) has LED modules having discrete, flat individual LEDs, and an LED power driver for producing current flow through the LED modules and/or individual LEDs. A housing formed from a semiconductor plate (2) and a cover (3), surrounds the power driver and/or the LED modules and/or LEDs. Temperature sensors e.g. semiconductor temperature sensors, are arranged within the housing and/or are in control or effective connection with the LED modules and/or LEDs so that the current flow of the LED modules and/or LEDs is lowered or deactivated during sensing a pre-specified temperature rise.
