Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2008022676A1] The invention relates to a suction nozzle for a workstation of a textile machine which produces crosswound bobbins, which suction nozzle can be loaded with vacuum and is mounted pivotably in such a way that an inlet opening on the suction-nozzle head of the suction nozzle can be positioned in the region of the surface of the crosswound bobbin which is secured rotatably in a bobbin frame, in order to receive a thread end which winds onto the crosswound bobbin. There is provision according to the invention for a front inlet region (19) which has the inlet opening (23) to be adjoined by a section (20) of the suction-nozzle head (18), which section (20) has a profiling (34) which protrudes into the inside cross section of the section (20). The profiling (34) divides the section (20) into two lateral cross-sectional regions (21) and a central cross-sectional region (22) which is arranged between them, wherein, in the predominant part of the section (20), the lateral cross-sectional regions (21) have a height (H) which in each case lies considerably above the height (h) of the adjacent central cross-sectional region (22).
