Abstract (en)
[origin: DE102006046688B3] The cooling system (100), e.g. for super conductive magnets, has a warm connection (101) with a thermal bond to the part (102) to be cooled and a cold connection (103) in a thermal bond with a heat sink (104). A heating tube (105), of a material with poor thermal conductivity, has one end at the hot connection and the other end with a mechanically released link at the cold connection, filled with a fluid (106) for circulation through a thermo-siphon effect. A connecting pipe (107) has one end within the hot tube and the tube is higher than the fluid level to pump out the fluid to give a thermal separation between the connections.
