Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2068087A2] The device has a handrail (9) and bar holders (11, 12) e.g. rocker arms, mechanically connected with the handrail. The bar holders are movable relative to the handrail by a coupling mechanism (13). The coupling mechanism is arranged in the handrail. The coupling mechanism includes pushing devices (25, 27) that are connected with the holders by a pivot bearing and that are movable relative to the holders. The pushing devices include push rods (26, 28) that are movable in a longitudinal direction of the handrail. The holders are coupled with a movement damping device.
