[origin: EP2068089A2] The range hood has a front blocking-and-protecting element (4) connected to a smoke collecting cover assembly in an overhanging way. The front blocking-and-protecting element is made of glass, and a cover element is directly connected to a shell. A front blocking-and-protecting element supporter is connected to the cover element. Through holes are formed in the front blocking-and-protecting element. Tongues are extended into the through holes such that a front part of a bottom cavity component is overlapped on the front blocking-and-protecting element.
