[origin: DE102007045698A1] Method for winding metal strip (13) on to a spindle (4) to form a reel uses a swiveling tension sensor (10) to measure the tension of the strip during winding. This is pivoted on the reel frame (5). An independent claim is included for a machine for carrying out the method, in which the tension sensor comprise a lever (10a) pivoted on the frame and a second lever (10b) pivoted on its free end carrying a roller (23) which can contact the strip. A pressure sensor (24) is mounted between the two levers.
