Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2008038081A1] An apparatus (10) and process for forming packs and stacking pallets of large-format ceramic tiles includes use of plier groups for removing single tiles exiting from a control and selection station of the tiles, piling the tiles in determined positions on a special support structure and transferring the piles of tiles to a wrapping station of the piles. A further plier group is used to remove the wrapped packs and deposit them, in a predetermined arrangement, on specific pallets destined for transport. The apparatus and relative process obviate a series of drawbacks connected with the prior art, which is essentially concerned with suitable treatment of small-to-medium format tiles.
