Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2008034274A2] The invention relates to a method and teleassistance equipment for a dependent person, whereby a user manually or automatically triggers an emergency signal by means of a triggering element (11) which is fixed to a customised component. Said customised component is in the form of a conventional watch containing the triggering element (11). The emergency signal emitted by the person wearing the watch is monitored automatically by a signal sensor (12) arranged in the radius of action of the triggering element (11). This signal sensor (12) co-operates with an emitter (12') arranged in such a way as to initiate a telephone call to a central teleassistance unit (17) via a telephone network (16). Upon reception, the telephone call is processed by a specialised service (18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23) connected to the central teleassistance unit.
