Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2008040263A1] The invention relates to a redundant protective system for monitoring objects to be protected (42a, 42b) in an electrical energy supply system with at least two objects to be protected (42a, 42b) and at least two electrical protective devices (44a, 44b). In order to increase the availability of such a protective system, the invention proposes that the at least two electrical protective devices (44a, 44b) are each designed as the main protective device for an object to be protected (42a, 42b) and an additional electrical protective device (46) is provided as the reserve protective device for all objects to be protected (42a, 42b). Alternatively, the invention can also provide that each electrical protective device (64, 65) is associated with precisely one object to be protected (62a, 62b) as the main protective device and with precisely one other object to be protected as the reserve protective device. The invention also relates to a method for the redundant monitoring of objects to be protected in an energy supply system.
