Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2008040718A1] The present invention relates to a device for a position initialization process of an actuating drive (1) during operation, particularly a piezo ring motor. To correct a shifted starting position of an actuating drive caused by overload in a piezo ring motor, a simple and effective device is to be provided. A calibration torque loss function is determined before operation in a piezo ring actuating drive (1) and is mathematically compared to an operation torque loss function during operation. A displacement angle ?f for the correction of an angular position stored as an initial starting position can be determined from said comparison. Cross correlation is used, for example, for the mathematical comparison. The online position initialization process is suitable for all motors in which torque loss functions can be detected.
