The chair has an inclinable seat (10) forcibly coupled with an inclinable backrest (20) by a synchronous mechanism. The mechanism includes a housing (30) arranged below the seat. The seat is supported at the housing by a rear seat guide (50) with a housing-fixed bearing and a seat-fixed bearing. The backrest is supported at the housing in another housing-fixed bearing. The forcible coupling between the seat and the backrest in the housing is produced by a connection rod between the backrest and the guide, so that the seat is adjusted during the inclination of the backrest rearward to the seat.

Bei einem Bürostuhl mit neigbarer Rückenlehne (20) und einem über eine Synchronmechanik mit der Rückenlehne zwangsgekoppelt neigbaren Sitz (10), wobei die Synchronmechanik ein unter dem Sitz angeordnetes Gehäuse (30) umfasst, an welchem der Sitz über einen hinteren Sitzlenker (50) mit einem ersten gehäusefesten und einem zweiten sitzfesten Lager gelagert ist, ist es erfindungsgemäss vorgesehen, dass die Rückenlehne am Gehäuse in einem dritten gehäusefesten Lager gelagert ist und dass die Zwangskopplung zwischen dem Sitz und der Rückenlehne im Gehäuse über wenigstens eine Verbindungsstange zwischen der Rückenlehne und dem hinteren Sitzlenker und so übersetzt hergestellt ist, dass sich der Sitz bei der Neigung der Rückenlehne nach hinten zu dieser hin verschiebt.
