Abstract (en)
The method involves creating datasets with data i.e. transmission number, for identifying a postal item (1). A mail is accepted at a receiving station (3), and graphical information is recorded on an upper surface of the postal item. The datasets with data for identifying the postal item are deposited at a server platform (5) with the recorded graphical information collected on the upper surface of the postal item. The datasets are provided for users (6, 10). The datasets with the data for identifying the mail are created at a user terminal (2). An independent claim is also included for a system for handling a postal item, comprising a datasets creating unit.

Verfahren und System zum Bearbeiten einer Postsendung, wobei das Verfahren folgende Schritte umfasst: - ein Datensatz wird mit Daten zur Identifizierung der Postsendung (1), an einem ersten Nutzerterminal (2) angelegt, - die Postsendung (1) wird an einer Empfangsstation (3) entgegengenommen, und auf der Oberfläche der Postsendung (1) befindliche graphische Informationen werden an einem zweiten Nutzerterminal (4) erfasst, - der Datensatz wird mit den erfassten graphischen Informationen auf einer mit beiden Nutzerterminals (2,4) verbundenen Serverplattform (5) hinterlegt, und der Datensatz oder Teile davon werden einem Nutzer (6,10) zur Verfügung gestellt.
