[origin: EP2072000A1] The method involves spraying washing liquid in a treatment chamber (4) by a washing nozzle (14) and spraying rinsing fluid into a water tank (8) by a rinsing nozzle (24). The washing fluid is recirculated from the tank to the washing nozzle by a wash pump (10). A pre-cleaning station (48) is arranged outside the treatment chamber for pre-cleaning goods to be rinsed by pre-cleaning liquid, where waste water from the water tank is used as pre-cleaning liquid. Fresh water is supplied as the pre-cleaning liquid when the waste water from the tank is not sufficient for pre-cleaning the goods. An independent claim is also included for a dishwasher comprising a treatment chamber.
