[origin: EP2072271A2] The device has pressing elements interacting with a spring force on flat materials through an opening in a feed table (13) for the flat materials, where the table is mounted above a housing lower shell (49). The pressing elements are designed as spring elements (41a-41j) and fixed in the shell. An operating element (46) is arranged at the shell to operate a lowering device, which is arranged in the shell. The lowering device has a lever that is connected with the operating device and a slider, which causes a lowering of the spring elements during the operation of the operating element.
