[origin: EP2072669A1] The belt (10) has a fiber material with layers (20-26) having a polymer material for filling cavities formed between fibers of the fiber material, such that the polymer material forms a composite structure together with the fibers. The composite structure is permeable for fluid, and a large part of the polymer material is provided in a volume area, which is close to web material contact surfaces (28) of the fiber material. The 80 percentage of the polymer material are formed in a deep area of 20 percentage of the fiber material. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a belt for a web material manufacturing machine.
