[origin: EP2072823A2] The pump has a cylindrical separation chamber arranged in front of a pump chamber in a flow direction, where fluid to be conveyed flows through the separation chamber. The separation chamber is cylindrically formed in a perpendicular axis. A fluid inlet has a conductive surface and/or a tangential arrangement for forming a fluid cyclone in the separation chamber, where the conductive surface guides the fluid. The separation chamber has an upper central venting opening. The venting opening is surrounded by a pipe, and the separation chamber is connected with the pump chamber by a channel (5).
