The assembly (10) has combustion chamber housing defining a combustion chamber and including an ignition part retaining projection (20) at a wall such that a cylindrical shaped porous evaporation medium (24) is provided at an inner side of the projection and a fuel supply line (28) for supplying liquid fuel into the evaporation medium discharges into the projection. An ignition part (34) includes a support region (32), which is supported at the projection above the evaporation medium. The ignition part is extended through the evaporation medium.

Eine Brennkammerbaugruppe für einen Verdampferbrenner, insbesondere für ein Fahrzeugheizgerät, umfasst ein eine Brennkammer (18) begrenzendes Brennkammergehäuse (12) mit wenigstens einem Zündorganaufnahmeansatz (20) an einer Wandung (14), wobei an einer Innenseite des Zündorganaufnahmeansatzes (20) ein poröses Verdampfermedium (24) vorgesehen ist und eine Brennstoffzuführleitung (28) zum Einspeisen von flüssigem Brennstoff in das poröse Verdampfermedium (24) in den Zündorganaufnahmeansatz (20) einmündet, wobei an dem Zündorganaufnahmeansatz (20) ein sich in diesen hineinerstreckendes Zündorgan (34) getragen ist, ist gekennzeichnet dadurch, dass das Zündorgan (34) über das poröse Verdampfermedium (24) an dem Zündorganaufnahmeansatz (20) getragen ist.
