The device has a suction unit (7) including a suction blower (8) for extracting cooking steam of a cooking site. An intake surface with a number of lamellas (4a-4c) that are moved form non use condition to use condition, where the lamellas lock the intake surface in the non use condition. The lamella releases the intake surface in the use condition. An intake panel (3) is pivoted relative to the suction unit from the non use condition to the use condition and is movably arranged within the lamellas. The motion of the intake panel is combined with motion of the lamellas.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Dunstabzugsvorrichtung (1) zum Absaugen von Kochdämpfen von einer Kochstelle, umfassend eine Absaugeinheit (7), das zumindest ein Sauggebläse (8) zum Ansaugen der Kochdämpfe von der Kochstelle und ein Gehäuse (70) aufweist, und eine Ansaugfläche mit einer Anzahl von Lamellen (4a, 4b, 4c), die aus einer Nichtgebrauchsstellung, in der sie die Ansaugfläche verschließen, in eine Gebrauchsstellung, in der sie die Ansaugfläche zumindest teilweise freigeben, bewegbar sind, wobei die Dunstabzugsvorrichtung (1) ein Ansaugpaneel (3) umfasst, das relativ zur Absaugeinheit (7) aus einer Nichtgebrauchsstellung in eine Gebrauchsstellung verschwenkbar ist und innerhalb dessen die Lamellen (4a, 4b, 4c) bewegbar angeordnet sind, wobei die Schwenkbewegung des Ansaugpaneels (3) mit der Bewegung der Lamellen (4a, 4b, 4c) gekoppelt ist.
