[origin: WO2008034691A1] The invention relates to a water-conducting domestic appliance, in particular a domestic dishwasher, comprising a detergent dosing system (10), the latter (10) having a detergent dispenser (11) with a receiving compartment (15) for receiving at least one cartridge (50). Said cartridge (50) is designed to hold at least one detergent. The invention is characterised in that the amount of detergent that can be held is greater than the amount required for the washing cycle and that the detergent dosing system (10) has a device (60, 61, 62, 63, 64; 70, 71; 80) for detecting the fill level in the detergent dispenser (11) and/or at least one cartridge (50).
