[origin: WO2008050250A2] An aerial platform (1) comprises an apparatus (3) to lift persons, in particular it comprises a vehicle (2) defining a base (4), a support element (5) for one or more persons, a lifting arm (6) operatively connected to the support element (5) and movably associated with the base (4) to move the support element (5) between a resting position and at least one raised operative position, an articulation arm (7), rotatably interconnected between the lifting arm (6) and the support element (5), and means for actuating in retraction / extraction the articulation arm (7) relative to the lifting arm (6), in such a way that the presence of the articulation arm (7) entails no supplementary bulk for the lifting apparatus (3), i.e. for the vehicle (2) in the resting position. The use is known of aerial platforms with lifting apparatuses provided with articulation arms, also called jibs, which, however, entail an increase in the bulk of the platform and, in particular, of the lifting apparatus.
