Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2077570A1] The breaker (D) has a metal tank (1) in which breaker chambers (Ca, Cb, Cc) are arranged parallel to each other. A mechanical transmission assembly, by which simultaneous transmission of movement and identical path length between main contact (2a) and arcing contacts (4a) of the chambers are realized, comprises two bars (7a, 7b, 7c) with identical lengths, where the bars are coupled with the contacts of one of the chambers. The assembly has a drive unit coupled to the bars and coupled to a drive rod (9) at outside of the tank or extending through a side (10) of the breaker. An independent claim is also included for a method of mounting a circuit breaker.
