[origin: EP2078618A2] The film (1) has a finishing lacquer layer (3) and an adhesive layer (4), which comprise a polymer e.g. aliphatic polyurethane polymer, and a copolymer e.g. polyurethane copolymer and/or acrylate copolymer, which are based on water. The layers comprise a respective thickness of 5 micrometers to 25 micrometers. The film has a carrier foil comprising a foil made of polyester, polyamide or copolymers. The finishing lacquer layer and/or an adhesive layer contains an ultraviolet absorber, and contains organic and/or inorganic pigments e.g. color and metal pigments. An independent claim is also included for a method for dissolver-free varnishing of surfaces of articles.
