Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2008047029A2] The invention relates to a method for controlling the operation of a hybrid vehicle comprising: a thermal traction chain comprising a front axle, a thermal engine coupled by coupling means to a gearbox for transmitting to said front axle the torque generated by the thermal engine at different gear reduction ratios of the gear box, electric energy storage means coupled to the electric network of the vehicle, a front electric machine coupled to the thermal engine and dimensioned for starting the same, for recharging the electric energy storage means and for supplying the electric network of the vehicle when the engine is running, the storage means supplying the electric network when the thermal engine is off; an electric traction chain comprising a rear axle, at least one rear electric machine mechanically coupled to the rear axle, the thermal traction chain and the electric traction chain sharing the resources of the electric energy storage means; and a control means for controlling the thermal traction chain, the electric traction chain and the electric energy storage means in order to take into account all the life situations of the vehicle; the method comprises controlling the thermal traction chain, the electric traction chain and the electric energy storage means in order to take into account all the life situations of the vehicle.
