Abstract (en)
The ring (1) has two arms (3, 4) hinged to a support (2), and die stocks (40-42) provided on the support and on the arms. One of the die stocks is pivotably supported, and each die stock has a U-shaped cross-section by a part of length of the die stocks. The arms are spring-loaded in a direction of a pressing position, and the support is provided at ends of the ring with respective slots. Projections (13, 14) of the arms are engaged in the slots, and the die stocks are supported on an interior side (72) of the support before a pressing process.

Um Rohre miteinander zu verbinden, werden auf die Rohrenden Fittinge aufgesetzt und radial verpresst. Für größere Durchmesser der Fittinge hat der Pressring (1) einen Träger und zwei an ihn angelenkte Hebel sowie drei Pressbacken (40, 41), mit denen der Fitting radial verpresst wird. Da die Pressbacken (40, 41) starr mit dem Träger und den Hebeln verbunden sind, können beim Pressvorgang Grate am Umfang des verpressten Werkstückes entstehen. Damit die Werkstücke einwandfrei radial verpresst werden können, ohne dass Grate entstehen, ist wenigstens eine der Pressbacken (40, 41) schwenkbar gelagert. Dadurch ist es möglich, Werkstücke mit größerem Durchmesser ohne Gratbildung einwandfrei radial zu verpressen. Der Pressring wird vor allem im Sanitärbereich zum Verbinden von Rohren mittels Fittingen eingesetzt.
