Es wird eine Betätigungseinrichtung (1, 1', 1"), insbesondere für ein Haushaltsgerät, angegeben, welches eine Leiterplatte (3) und ein einrichtungsfestes Drehelement (13) umfasst, wobei auf der Leiterplatte (3) ein mechanisch betätigbares Schaltelement (5) angeordnet ist, und wobei Mittel (17) zur mechanischen Betätigung des Schaltelements (5) bei einer Drehung des Drehelements (13) umfasst sind. Eine derartige Betätigungseinrichtung (1, 1', 1") ermöglicht bei einem einfachen Aufbau ohne Veränderung des Layouts der Leiterplatte (3) eine hohe Designfreiheit hinsichtlich der Wahl eines Drehelements oder eines Druck- bzw. Tastschalters.
