Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2907903A1] The apparatus has a four-ball machine (1) including three balls (20), and measuring units with FGP type displacement sensors (E2, E5) that measure respective parameters such as value of load and friction force applied to a cup, and a FGP type positioning sensor (E4) that measures a displacement value of a dynamometric arm (41). A typeK thermocouple sensor (E1) measures the temperature of the cup or a bath and an amperometric sensor (E3) measures rotational speed of a fourth ball (30). A computing unit (F) drives a variation of the load and records the parameters based on time.
