[origin: CN101492980A] The invention relates to a cylinder lock with plate tumblers and a key for the cylinder lock as an automotive door lock. The cylinder lock has a cylinder lock body and a cylindrical core which is provided with a key hole therein, a plurality of key channels are arranged in the key hole, and in the key channels, a plurality of plate tumblers which is square frame-shaped and enclose the key hole are arranged, and the plate tumblers has at least a transverse frame bar and two longitudinal frame bars. Each plate tumbler is provided with a control step on one side of the central longitudinal plane, and the control step is arranged on two sides of the lateral direction in the key hole. Therefore, the invention is capable of improving variety of the cylinder lock, and can make cylinder lock with the diameter of the cylindrical core smaller than 15mm and having more than 8 plate tumblers.
