[origin: EP2083235A1] The device has a drying tunnel (4) with an inner chamber filled with inert gas e.g. nitrogen, atmosphere. A gasexchange chamber (16) of an entry air-lock region (3) is connected with a vacuum pump (18), where an outlet of the pump is connected with external atmosphere. A gasexchange chamber (31) of an exit air-lock region (5) includes a piston (36) and lifting units (38, 39). The piston and the lifting units change volume of the chamber (31) between a maximum value and a minimum value i.e. zero, for displacing the atmosphere contained in the chamber (31).
