Furthermore, the armrest comprises an actuating element (19) for altering the height position of the armrest carrier (3), wherein the actuating element (19) cooperates with the latching device (13, 15) in such a way that the actuation thereof results in the latch (15) being removed from the opening (12), and it prevents the latch (15) from being removed from the opening (12) in the non-actuated state.
