[origin: EP1918580A1] The method involves moving integrally moving elements (1) in water, where the element have compartments (2, 3) joined with each other, in which the compartment (2) contains a dissolved gas. The elements are lowered down to a preset depth under effect of gravity, and two compartments are set in communication with each other. The elements are raised by expanding into the compartment (3) and converting the gas into electrical energy. An independent claim is also included for an electricity generating device.
