Abstract (en)
[origin: DE102006049879A1] The system (14) has radar sensors integrated in front in a vehicle and for monitoring of a front end of the vehicle, where two of the radar sensors are long range radar (LRR) sensors (16, 18). The two LRR-sensors are arranged in left and right sides of the vehicle in the proximity of the lateral vehicle margin. The LRR-sensors are oriented, so that their optical axes are diverged. A fusion device (20) alternately evaluates signals of the LRR-sensors from measuring cycle to another measuring cycle.
