Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1918793A1] The timepiece has a lighting device (4) with a UV/infrared LED to light a zone (9) integrating fluorescent and phosphorescent pigments of a needle (7), that is viewed via a convex glass (3). A light from the LED is directed on a periphery of the glass forming a wave guide. Scattering units formed of a reflective surface (15), scattering and reflective layers (12, 13), a nanopowder and microstructures and nanostructures, to scatter the light from the glass towards the timepiece interior and are arranged in the form of ring, on a light path to view the zone and provided with a nanosize covering. The nanosize covering of the scattering layers is made of metallic oxide.
