Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1916598A1] The method involves transmitting identification data of a mobile equipment (EM) and of a securing module (SM) to a managing center (CG) upon connection of the mobile equipment to a bidirectional mobile network different from a unidirectional mobile network. The system software of the mobile equipment then reads a descriptor stored in the security module designating a server of the managing center for providing and downloading the mobile equipment with a software application or an update of the software application via the bidirectional mobile network. An independent claim is also included for the security module for mobile equipment.
