[origin: WO2005115690A1] The invention relates to a chucking and/or expansion tool (1) having a push or pull rod (7), at least one locking device (33) blocking a displacement of the push or pull rod against a chucking and/or expansion direction by being jammed with respect to the push or pull rod by means of at least one forced action mechanism (35), such as a spring, especially a thrust spring, and one unlocking device (41) undoing the blocking effect of the locking device when activated. The invention is characterized in that the forced action mechanism and the unlocking device functionally engage with the locking device on at least opposite ends of the push or pull rod.
