Abstract (en)
A paper output mechanism includes: a roller pair composed of a first roller (81) and a second roller (82) travelable around the first roller (81) and configured, when the second roller (82) is in a first position, to output a piece of paper (P1, P2) to a paper placement part (5, R) by pinching the piece of paper (P1, P2) between the first and second rollers (81, 82) and driving at least one of the first and second rollers (81, 82) into rotation with an actuator; and a roller position changing mechanism (83, 84) for switching the second roller (82) between the first position and a second position located closer to the paper output side than the first position. When the trailing edge of the piece of paper (P1, P2) is sent out to the paper placement part (5, R), the roller position changing mechanism (83, 84) changes the second roller (82) from the first position to the second position.
