Provided are a refrigerator (1) and a method of controlling the same. The refrigerator includes a main body (10), a rotatable refrigerator door (11,12), a rotatable home bar door (103), a heater (120), and a controller. The main body includes a cool air storage compartment. The rotatable refrigerator door (12) is coupled to the main body (10) and includes an opening in at least one portion of the refrigerator door. The rotatable home bar door (103) is coupled to the refrigerator door (12) to selectively cover the opening. The heater (120) is disposed on at least one side of the home bar door (103). The controller is configured to variably control an amount of heat generated from the heater depending on operating conditions.
