[origin: EP2085832A1] The device has lock control units constituting a strain clamp (6), a lifting-lever (7) and an isolation wheel (32) activated by a column wheel (5) to control clutching and locking or releasing of a chronograph arbor (3). A clutch has clutching elements (22) movable in a radial plane that is perpendicular to an axis (2) of the arbor for being elastically applied against a wall (14) rotatively connected to a driving plate (10) under an effect of clutch springs (16). The plate is rotated on the arbor and provided with a gear (11) for being driven in continuous rotation by a watch movement.
