Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2085987A1] The device has a fixed permanent magnet (10), and a microswitch e.g. micro-electro mechanical system, with a ferromagnetic membrane (20) driven between stable states. A mobile permanent magnet (11) is actuated between a position, in which the mobile and fixed magnets form a uniform permanent magnetic field to maintain the membrane in one of the states, and another position, in which the mobile magnet controls switchover of the membrane. A planar excitation coil (4) creates a temporary magnetic field to allow switchover of the membrane, when the mobile magnet is in former position.
