Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2086094A2] The machine has a stator with a stator winding and an auxiliary winding, where both the windings are provided for producing a magnetic field. A rotor is movably supported relative to the stator in a rotary manner. The stator winding and the auxiliary winding exhibit three coil strands, which are formed for operating with three-phase alternating current. The stator winding and the auxiliary winding are wound parallel to each other at the stator. A switching unit is formed for electric parallel connection or for electric serial connection of the stator winding and the auxiliary winding.
