Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2008053035A1] The invention relates to a method for producing a localized warning of dangerous situations for vehicles, wherein each vehicle participating in the procedure has a means for exchanging information, a means for transmitting warning signals, and a means for determining the location coordinates of the individual vehicle. The means for transmitting a warning signal is activated by a first vehicle and the location of the first vehicle as the first piece of information, and the activated warning signal as the second piece of information, are transmitted by the means for exchanging information to the surrounding vehicles. Using the means for exchanging information, at least one additional vehicle receives the pieces of information, and the first piece of information is compared with an additional piece of information about the location of the additional vehicle and evaluated. In the case of a dangerous situation for the additional vehicle, appropriate measures are initiated in the additional vehicle for minimizing the dangerous situation.
