[origin: EP2087945A1] The device has a conveyor (9) arranged on a container (2) using a receiving device that includes liquid-proof receptacles (10). The receptacles exhibit a volumetric capacity for accommodating the container. The receptacle includes a spacer (12) for the container. The receptacles are interconnected with a chain. Filling and emptying stations are provided for the container and arranged at the conveyor. A device for intensifying a cleaning effect is provided at the receptacles and/or at the conveyors. An independent claim is also included for a method for cleaning a container i.e. bottle.
