[origin: WO2008036418A2] A method and apparatus is shown and disclosed for line operated input device, powered by a sailor/operator pulling on the line to provide an input to an output device. The input device is connected, as by shafting, to a remote output device, which in turn carries out the desired sailing function, as for example one or more of traveler car, boom vang, sail sheet, sail sheet level, athwartship car, backstay tension, Cunningham, outhaul, roller, slab or other reefing and/or other sailing adjustments or functions. A selector box can be provided so that a single line powered input can control two or more outputs and sail functions.
