[origin: WO2008067837A1] The invention relates to a cabinet body, in particular for outdoor cabinets, and to a method of producing a cabinet body which, along with relatively low material usage and cost-effective production, ensure the necessary sealing and EMC shielding as well as a high level of stability and rigidity. The cabinet body according to the invention has a welded basic framework with corner connectors on which transverse profiles, depth profiles and vertical profiles are fastened by welding. The cladding parts are sheet-metal blanks which are of flat or planar design and are welded to the welded basic framework to form a welded body. The design of the components of the cabinet body means that use can preferably be made of precision welding methods, in particular laser welding.
