Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2093030A1] The method involves punching-out a part (16) of a workpiece for producing a punching opening in the workpiece supported at a front side (18) of cylindrical anvils (12) via a punching cutter. A movable base (14) together with the punched part is pulled back into the anvils till into an area of a lateral discharge opening (20) i.e. discharge slit, provided in the area of the anvils. The part that is supported on the movable base is subsequently discharged through the opening by subjecting corresponding force transverse to an axial direction. A slit nozzle extends perpendicular to the opening. An independent claim is also included for a device for removing punching slugs during punching.
