[origin: EP2093176A2] The device has a movable pneumatic sheet brake (41) and a movable carrier (46) at which a brake brush (42) is attached. The pneumatic sheet brake and the carrier are mechanically coupled, and a movement of the pneumatic sheet brake causes the movement of the carrier. The pneumatic sheet brake and the carrier are moved towards and against a sheet transportation direction (B). The pneumatic sheet brake is connected with an actuator (47) i.e. electric motor. The movement of the pneumatic sheet brake takes place by the actuator. An independent claim is also included for a method for changing and adjusting a position of a pneumatic sheet brake.
